I know that many of you probably think I'm crazy, but I'm really not crazy about the weather in SoCal. Some folks here think it's paradise, but I like a bit more variety and seasonal change. I can say this with some degree of certainty, since I'm not one of the folks who has lived here their entire life - it's not just a fantasy of mine. That's why I was estatic to wake up this morning to the sound of actual rain on our rooftop! I realized that we so seldom get rain that Brynne doesn't really know how to handle it - getting the raincoat and umbrella out is fun, but a drop of water on her shoes might just indicate the end of the world as we know it. Here was the drippy view through the car windshield this morning - pure bliss!
Here's hoping that the weather where you are is perfect this weekend, whatever perfect might be to you!
Me too! Rain = bliss. It was so nice today!

I grew up near Boston, and remember fondly the sound of gentle rain on the roof during the night. Now in Arizona, when it does rain, it rains only from noon - 1pm. Rain at night is really unusual, and I miss it. So I know what you're talking about!

I'm totally with you on this one, all the sun we've had makes me long for the rain-and the smell of a wet parking lot!

I'll take sunshine after a week of rain. Love your blog and LOVE Superbuzzy

I'm in Pasadena and agree with you one thousand percent, "sunny and warm" makes me roll my eyes sometimes so I love the rain too. As for the going green, good for you! I only wish there could be a fabric swap as well, both vintage and new. While buying new fabric is always exciting, swapping fabric, esp. stuff that no long suits your needs/taste would be exciting AND green. Thanks for your blog!
