There is plenty of eating and shopping downtown.

Two blocks west of the convention center is the Gateway Shopping Center. Most of the shops are national. However you'll find some nice sit down eateries there. I recommend the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

One block east of the convention center is Main street. Main street has quite a few small locally operated eateries. I recommend Big City Soup at 234 South Main St. or 235 South 400 West. The second location has longer hours. http://www.bigcitysoup.com/

If you like Mexican food, go to the Blue Iguana at 165 S West Temple. It is across the street from the convention center.

I hope this helps. If you have more specific questions shoot me an email. I'd be glad to help you out.

good luck in slc - can't wait for the big update!!

slc can be kinda tricky w/o a car (the streets are spread far apart as is the city). but i bet'cha can get around just fine using public transpo is needed!

So glad to get you in the magazine! Have fun at the Quilt Market! I'm looking forward to reading about it on your blog.

I bought that magazine for the first time because of the cute kittens on the front. I am so glad I did because it led me to your site. I loved my first order and the little candy inside. It's now one of my favorite fabric shops. Thanks for making cute fabric available to us not in Japan. I am already starting a new shopping cart.

Nice Quilt Market pictures too. None of the other blogs I read had any of them so it's nice to see what goes on in there.
