Sometimes I ramble on about my modular synth hobby to a colleague of mine that is quite an accomplished pianist. He is quite kind to tolerate my ramblings. He found this little gem squirrled away at home, and gave it to me!
I was really really excited to get this freakishly large "watch"/synth even though it looks absolutely ridiculous on my skinny-ass wrist. I took it home, opened it up, cleaned off the battery contact, and stuck a new battery in it.
Nothing.
No worries... it's just a little dirty - scrubed the contacts some more - gave it another try.
Nothing.
Opened it up, and found that this gem has 3 batteries! All of which leaked their acidic contents on the cheap Made In China boards dissolving the copper traces like Alien blood.
Here is the cleanest looking board of the bunch, the "synth" board.
Man... there is no hope... Cool gift anyway!
Try some silver conductive paint (used in cars rear windshield calefactor repairs) i use this to repair broken traces in my "not so well made" diy pcbs. it´s expensive but works like a charm
