For the past few years, knitting has been all the rage, attracting hip pattern makers, ultra-cool knitting circles, stylish knitting books and magazines, and more blogs than I can shake a stick at (with more emerging each day). Since I've never learned to knit, I fall back on crocheting as my "watching tv, on a plane, or passenger in the car" crafty activity. I'm starting to see more and more fun blogs and crafters that feature crochet (lily's rooster, ohsewpretty, and momomoogie, Camilla Engman, to name a few), but I'm still not sure that crocheting is considered in the same "cool" category as is knitting. I'm hoping that more "closeted" crochet artists will come out and share their creations.
When I got the latest Anthropologie catalog, I was thrilled to see some gorgeous crocheted items in their catalog (then quickly dismayed at the prices!). Now, I'm trying to figure out if I have the skills to try and copy something like this:
Does anyone out there have suggestions for trying to copy these?
