I have read and used the stupid sock creature book- be careful, very addictive. Creatures are fun and fast to make.

i don't have that embroidery book, but i definitely want to find it! maybe i can look on the internet. thanks for sharing!

i heart the embroidery book!

That cover of "sew easy" is so vintage looking. Why is that woman sticking her hand down her pants?

I don't really know how to crochet, but the books on crochet by Erika Knight are excellent. Beautiful photos and modern projects.

Speaking of beautiful, congratulations on your backtack project!

What a coincidence! I bought Sew Easy last year for my sister-in-law. Apparently, I never did give it to her, because I found it in my closet a couple of days ago, so I've decided to keep it. I love the projects in there.

Jane Cumberbatch is English - I love her Pure Style books (there are three, including one for outside spaces/gardens). Great ideas for tight budgets - I keep going back to her books.

oh WOW! all the things you have shared are my current new crushes!! thanks so mcuh! :)

Designs for kids by Lucinda Guy with some adorable knitted dresses, hats, knitted flowers and mice.

Okay, I can't crochet but I think I'll learn just to make that scarf on the cover of Vogue Crocheted Scarves! So awesome.

Funny that I just saw Sew Easy last week at the book store. I really need to get my hands on that Embroidery book!

Those sock creatures are so quirky and funny. I'm tempted to buy the book, but I'm not sure I can justify another craft book....

Stitch 'n Bitch is also coming out with a crochet book--Stitch 'N Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker--Amazon doesn't yet have a release date.
